ASTM A436 Type 5 (F41006) Cast Iron

ASTM A436 type 5 is a type of austenitic grey cast iron. Cited properties are appropriate for the stress relieved condition. ASTM A436 Type 5 is the ASTM designation for this material. F41006 is the UNS number. Additionally, the AFNOR (French) designation is FGL Ni35.

It has the lowest strength and highest ductility compared to the other variants of austenitic grey cast iron.

The graph bars on the material properties cards below compare ASTM A436 type 5 to: cast irons (top), all iron alloys (middle), and the entire database (bottom). A full bar means this is the highest value in the relevant set. A half-full bar means it's 50% of the highest, and so on.
